Anthony Biancoviso’s white earthenware wheel thrown ceramic sculpture is sensual and serene in form. The surface treatment is unglazed, smoked, and sometimes hand-burnished, similar to traditional Southwestern Native American and ancient pottery. Unglazed pottery accentuates the distinctive and natural qualities of earthenware clay.

The pieces are low-fired in a small and sustainable wood burning kiln. All wood is gathered from the forest floor. This ancient finishing process maximizes the clay’s textural qualities.

All pieces are tabletop size, and offered at a range of prices. The studio is located on a charming old farm property, one mile from the scenic Delaware River.
