Pablo Picasso famously said, “It took me a lifetime to learn to paint like a child.” And he was right! Children are the world’s best artists.
So, the Western Sullivan Public Library, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and the Barryville Area Arts Association will host a series of events so can show off their stuff.
One of the events will be held at Sunshine Hall Free Library on June 15, 2024 at 1:00. Claudine Luchsinger and Nick Roes from the Barryville Area Arts Association will provide inspiration/direction and art supplies.
The culmination of all the events will be an exhibit at the DVAA and an opening reception on August 3 featuring the work of all the young artists, as well as their bios. It will also feature a display of Picasso’s most childlike prints.
This project is sponsored by the Western Sullivan Public Library, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, and the Barryville Area Arts Association, and made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a program of the NYS Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the NY State Legislature and administered by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.
