Wouldn’t it be nice if a local businessman provided space for a free outdoor event where artists and art lovers could gather for a community painting party?
WOODEN IT BE NICE is exactly that. It’s a pop-up community painting party on the lawn next to the Corner Piazza Restaurant in Eldred, NY. The Barryville Area Arts Association is providing thin, tall boards to paint portraits on, and local businessman Lou Monteleone is donating space for the creation and display of the finished work.
On June 4, 2022, everyone is invited to gather on the lawn at the four corners in Eldred. Artists and spectators will enjoy some light refreshments and create the portraits from 9:30 AM until Noon. Rain date June 5.
On June 18 from 1 – 3 PM, the portraits will be arranged so they’ll be looking back at you when you look at them. Again, there will be some light refreshments and the chance to meet and greet the artists.
These two WOODEN IT BE NICE events are free and open to the public, but registration is required. To register visit http://barryvilleareaarts.org/OurCurrentProjects.html or e-mail barryvilleareaarts@gmail.com
