Since 2018, Alexandra Climent has headed several expeditions to The Darién Gap of Panamá in search of native endangered hardwood species to reforest. Initially, her expeditions aimed to source felled woods for her woodworking practice. But with each subsequent visit, she witnessed more and more rampant deforestation.
Her work emphasizes the primal beauty of these materials. The thought of losing these species forever is devastating. Through her non-profit Endangered Rainforest Rescue, she continues to dedicate herself to the reforestation of these endangered tree species.
