Sullivan Public is so pleased to announce our first collaborative photography and art exhibition, Greetings from Here. The show opens on Saturday, April 5 from 2-6 p.m. and extends through the month of April, Saturdays from 11-4 and Sundays 10-3.
In keeping with the tourism legacy of this area, Greetings from Here features postcard-scale prints and other works celebrating the Catskills through the unique perspective of each creator.
The small-format art in this exhibit hearkens to the classic postcard kept or sent as an artifact of travel, a souvenir of an experience. They commemorate a visit rooted in a place or time. Greetings from Here’s artists and photographers have created their own artifacts that communicate their experience of this place.
The Catskills can represent a location of unspoiled natural beauty, a home, a refuge, a place to visit, a place where people used to vacation. Greetings from Here captures and explores the many facets of “here.”
