GBCC as is collaborating with Upper Delaware Council and Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River Corridor communities to coordinate land-based litter clean-ups during Earth Day week in April (4/22-4/30).
Join the GBCC “Litter Avengers” in the unveiling of “Keep Our River Clean” signs, then join a Litter Avengers Team and head out to pluck that litter!
Where to Meet:
Volunteers will meet at 10 AM for the sign unveiling with coffee, water, and yummies at The Cul-de-Sac in Barryville, NY.
From there we will divide and conquer. Some volunteers will head to start cleaning under the bridge, others along River Road, and the Eagle Observation Areas. Others will start on Route 55. While another group will head to the Lumberland pull off on Route 97.
- T-shirts to be provided on a first come, first served basis.
- Bags and pluckers will be provided.
- Stickers for placing on bags to be dropped off at the Transfer Station for Free.

Litter Sweeps are intended to occur in the following Upper Delaware municipalities: the New York State Towns of Hancock, Fremont, Delaware, Cochecton, Tusten, Highland, Lumberland, and Deerpark; and the Pennsylvania Townships of Buckingham, Manchester, Damascus, Berlin, Lackawaxen, Shohola, and Westfall.
