Roger Moss has been beekeeping for 20 years. This workshop will introduce beekeeping techniques and include facts about maintaining healthy bee colonies, the biology of honeybees, and the many challenges facing the current cadre of beekeepers, from health threats to poor nutrition. There’ll be live bees present for those who want to get up close to them at the hives that Roger keeps at Willow Wisp Organic Farm, as well as an “observation beehive” where the bees are contained behind glass.
This workshop is offered both in person at Willow Wisp Organic Farm and by Zoom.
IN PERSON: If you wish to attend the in person event, you MUST e-mail jess@farmartscollective.org to hold a spot. There are 12 places available for in-person participation. Once filled, the workshop will be available via Zoom.
